Feedback is essential
Finding a job is a process, it is very unusual to apply for one job, land it and work happily ever after until retirement clocks over. Those entering the workforce today will apply for many roles, have several different jobs (or more) and quite possibly a few different careers in their lifetime. The way work is structured (flexibility, part-time, multiple roles etc.) is also likely to be highly fluid and interchangeable through the course of a career.
With this backdrop in mind, getting feedback is really important to understand what is working well when applying for roles and what can be improved. It is important to hold a positive mindset when asking for feedback and looking for common themes in feedback from multiple sources – as we all have our own preferences in the way information is displayed (for example).
