So you’ve put so much effort into your interview preparation, yet it feels like the interviewer hasn’t done the same. This can be very disappointing but try not to get disheartened. We all have bad days, and unfortunately, this extends to the person interviewing you. It’s really unfortunate but it is unlikely to have anything to do with you so try not to take it personally.
Sometimes an interviewer is given very little notice they are scheduled to meet with a candidate and this can make it very hard to prepare. This might result in the interviewer not having read your resume or not knowing anything at all about your background. It could even mean they don’t know what role you have applied for. If this is the case, you will need to provide the interviewer with greater detail on your background and spend more time than you might have planned to go through your resume.
