SUMMARY
This is for group facilitation on thought leadership. Bringing together a team of big thinking people to either provide thought leadership, solve a wicked problem, or address a massive opportunity that is complex and difficult.
WHEN TO USE THIS GUIDE?
mwah. divides teams into a few types. There are ‘new teams’, ‘normal work teams’, ‘senior teams’, ‘teams that are not functioning well’ and ‘big thinking teams’. This facilitation guide has been designed to work with ‘big thinking team’s’. A ‘big thinking team’ is a team of high functioning, big ideas or big problem-solving people, who you want to come together to either provide thought leadership or to solve a wicked complicated problem. In other words, it’s a team tackling thinking that hasn’t been thought before. Uniquely, members of ‘big thinking teams’ are usually already solving big problems, or coming up with big ideas on their own, so when you bring them together, it’s all about how they inspire or challenge each other on things they’ve not considered before, or build on each other’s thinking with perspectives or experiences not yet included in the work of any individual. By definition, a ‘big thinking team’ is designed to do two things – firstly, to think bigger than any individual in the team, and secondly, to add value to the thinking and work of each and every individual.
